Li Dong, Jade, Lin and Wei left China for Paris. Political or economical exiles, in regular or irregular situation, they have attempted or have succeeded in integrating into french society, for one, two, or even seventeen years. The reality of the parisian life is quite different than they had imagined. However, their empty-handed return to China is inconceivable.
The film relates the story of these exiled Chinese women. Close to them and witness of their feelings, their deep thoughts, it allows us to see through their eyes the daily life of a Chinese woman in Paris.

A movie’s extract is on the permanent exhibition in the Cité Nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration au Palais de la Porte Dorée, Paris.
